It's tough sometimes when everything seems perfect; there's always that feeling that something will change and everything will come crumbling down upon you. And it's not wrong to feel that way, you've probably worked hard to get to this stage in life and you don't want to lose anything.

Still, you have to remember as much as we wish it, life is never stable. Things happen, and more often than not, we are forced to change along with it. What determines the outcome of the change however is dependant on how you choose to handle it. Make the wrong decision and you might end up regretting it. This is not to say that you will fall into an abyss of regret and guilt, far from it. Take what life gives you and make the most out of it. Use your own judgement and think things through, and you'll be able to cope with what life throws at you just fine.

Ah, this is a tale that happens many times over all across the globe. Is it fate or is it just a coincidence?

After going through the process several times, I can say that there is no such thing as fate or coincidence. What happens, happens. My advice is simple, get to know her more, and if she really is interested she'll respond. If you want something to happen, you have to do something. There is no invisible hand of fate that will make things run if you just sit back and wait. Talk to her, and ask yourself what is the difference between dating and being really great friends. The best kind of relationships happen when a great friendship turns naturally into a relationship. So give it time, and work at it. Maybe something will happen. Maybe not.

In my opinion, both work reasonably well. Nvidia wins in some areas, ATI takes the card in others.

First off, Nvidia has been generally faster in terms of coming out with next-generation cards ( look at the Nvidia 8800 GX2 ), so if you're the hardcore gamer type who must have the latest cards before anyone then normally you'd be looking at Nvidia most of the time.

That's not to say ATI loses in gaming. It depends on what kind of setup you're using. Nvidia cards do better when you're pushing them to the limits, but if you're not thinking of using some crazily high resolution ( you'll need a seriously big monitor for this ) then ATI generally does a little better than Nvidia.

Also, if you're not looking to use two graphics cards at the same time, ATI cards peform slightly better than Nvidia cards. Also, in my experience, ATI is more stable than Nvidia, if you're using Windows that is.

Nvidia pwns in its flexibility though. I find their SLI technology works better than ATI's Crossfire technology. So if you want to hook up two cards at the same time, Nvidia would be a better choice. This gives Nvidia an edge in terms of how much raw power you can squeeze out of their cards. Note that just because it's easier to hook up two Nvidia cards doesn't mean that it's simple.

So if you're thinking of tweaking your graphics card and pushing it to the limits, Nvidia is better. If you plan to just take it out of the box and stick it in, both will do well, but ATI is a little more stable and a little less complicated.

This happens a lot with old monitors, CRT ones especially. The power supply unit is getting old, and considering the cost of getting it repaired, I'd say a new screen is in order.

It has happened to me twice.. so yea. I'm not sure if LCD suffers from the same problem, but I'd guess not, since it consumes less power.

On the other hand, if your screen is a LCD, I have no clue on what just happened. Haven't been around LCDs long enough yet.

Quote by OnimusaruWhich is why reincarnation and karma exist.

Now, first off, I do not mean any offense to either you or your belief. Really. I will not say they do not exist, but neither will I agree that they do. It depends on one's religious belief after all, but I don't think we should be so quick to make such an assumption.

I saw this card and I fell over drooling. Problem is, the pricetag is out of my reach for the moment, but it IS a really big step-up over the 7900 series and will probably last for a year before running into the mid-range category.

I'm only concerened about heat problems, as my current ATI 1750 already has a host of heating problems. Maybe it's because I'm an a tropical country. Either way, I'll definitely need to get an upgrade on my power supply. Agh. So many things need upgrading before I can even use that card.

There are several established answers to this already, most of which rely on religion to explain our existence and purpose on Earth. I'll lay off this part for now.

And then, there is the evolution theory which states that the environment and a good bit of chance produced us humans on Earth. Now, if you ask me, I'd say our existence on Earth is one that is inevitable.

Consider the fact that the Earth has several millions, if not billions, species of animals roaming the Earth. It is only a matter of time before evolution makes one species dominant over the others. It's like if you put two competing species into a closed environment, eventually one species will gain the upper hand. The Earth is like that, except on a really grand scale. And it just so happened that we became the dominant species.

I don't think the Earth would be any better off if another species became dominant, say tigers evolved so they would be on the same stage as humans now. Thing is that a species always tries to preserve its own kind before other species. And once a species is dominant, it will take advantage of what the Earth has to offer, at the cost of other species.

No, there is no benevolent, all sharing species. Nature just happens to work this way.

Nothing much this time, I'm just feeling rather down and frustrated, so yea, this will be a angsty poem by me.. >.> ...Never did bother to think up a titile, then again, suffering doesn't need a title..

~~

How can I know what to know,
When the world is spinning around me?
How do I figure out the answer;
When the sands of time keep shifting?

Can I ever be certain again?
Can I ever be in control again?
Can I ever find a way out of the confusion;
That haunts me by day and by night?

I grasp at the wind,
Catching nothing but myself,
Only to have confidence elude me;
Slipping into the depths of irony.

How I wish time would stop,
If only to give me a brief respite,
Wishing to take a break;
To close my eyes and rest till I wake.

The days pass by in frustration,
Constantly weaving the intricate mask of lies,
Casting a dream of illusion;
Onto the twisted face that is mine.

The times I reach out my hand,
Only to take it back at the last second,
Never daring to push past the delicate line;
That separates the truth from the lie.

If only I could say how it's like,
Without hiding behind a wall of words,
Carefully dancing the steps of life;
Each smile forced and grotesque.

I hate the way hurt creeps upon me,
Wounding me through those I hold dear,
Having to smile through it all;
Never showing the scars I hold within.

I long for the day I can leave this behind,
Never to have to think about this again,
Never to cast my net again into the ocean;
In hope of finding a shard of understanding.

A little history on the poem, this is a tribute to my cousin whom I never did get to meet. She died sometime when I was young, and well, I never did know about her until today, when I saw a photograph of her and my other cousins. I guess the best thing the living can do for the departed is to keep them alive in memory, even if you never knew them when they were alive.

~The time that never was~

You said "bye" before I could say "hi",
Bowing off the stage before your part began,
Leaving silently without a trace;
So that I would never know your face.

I passed my days not knowing your existence,
The past hidden beneath a frame of shattered glass,
Only to be shown by a dusty brown photograph;
That someone was missing in my life.

I wonder how things would have been,
If you didn't leave me so early,
Moving on without getting to meet each other;
Never to hear your voice nor your laugh.

Would we have laughed together?
Would we have shared our tears together?
Would we have dreamt together?
I guess we'll never know for sure.

I think of the times that could have been,
The fun that we should have seen,
If only life hadn't left you so fast;
Leaving me behind in the past.

How are you now? I wonder,
Gone to a place where I can't follow,
Yet somehow, someday, I know that;
We'll be walking together, catching up on the time that never was.

I collect.. simply because I can.. o.o ..I take pride in my collection, and well, I like it when people go like "Wow.." over my anime or book collection, sure it means sacrificing one or two meals a day just for the extra cash, but in the end, anime lasts longer than food.. To me it's better to eat a loaf of bread than to go to some restraunt and spend twenty times the cash, it all comes out the same anyway.. ^^ .. and you can save a lot of cash each day like that..
